About Me

Screen Shot 2018-04-05 at 1.08.27 PM.pngHiiii & Welcome!

If you’re reading this, thank you for taking the time out of your day to explore my blog. It’s not perfect, but neither am I. No one is. This is just a place for me to share the crazy, scary, incredible, powerful, amazing things I’ve learned so far throughout this journey called life. I am not a registered dietitian or certified trainer by any means. I am simply opening up my experiences to those who want to know how I have transformed my life from one of unhappiness to one of incredible appreciation for life.

images-1.pngMy name is Abby and I’m a Kentucky native. No, I don’t have an accent…and I basically live in Cincinnati. When anyone asks me where I’m from, I always say “Cincinnati” because no one knows anything about Kentucky other than “KFC…” I wish I were kidding, but every human being I’ve come across in México asks where I’m from and when I say “Kentucky,” well…you get the picture.

I grew up in a small town and went to an incredible high school that supported and encouraged my pursuit of the arts. I continued on to college in my “backyard” as some would say, at Northern Kentucky University. It was truly the best place for me to discover my artistic self and really shape my craft of vocal performance and music education. I will graduate in May of 2018 (less than 30 days, to be exact), and will receive my Bachelor of Music in Music Education with a Choral & Vocal emphasis.

I traveled quite a bit during my undergrad. First, I traveled to Austria, Hungary, and France with the “Cincinnati Singers.” Then, I toured throughout Toronto, Montréal, Quebéc, and Ottawa in Canada with NKU’s Chamber Choir, and later traveled to Salzburg, Austria during the same summer to take music courses for 6 weeks. During that trip, I had the chance to explore Germany and Italy. I’m currently teaching elementary music in México for 2 months.

SOOOO excited to also say that I will be attending the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music in August of 2018 to continue my studies in music education. I also teach private voice & piano lessons in Northern Kentucky {P.S. I have space in my studios if anyone is interested! :)}

Anyway, thanks for visiting! I hope my blog offers something special to you in some way. Feel free to contact me anytime for anything. I like to talk, as you can see. But, I also love to listen. ❤
